Photo Privacy & Retention — How DualPaws Uses Your Images
Understand where your photos go and how long your generated picture remains available.
Generation uses a server
Your selected photos are resized in the browser and sent to the DualPaws server and OpenAI to generate an image. Generation does not run entirely on your phone or computer. Upload only pictures you have permission to use and consider whether the images are suitable for processing by an online service.
Stored originals and expiry
Generated originals are encrypted on the server and become unavailable 24 hours after generation. Cleanup removes expired stored image files. This window is not extended by paying for an original. Download promptly and keep your own copy.
Order records and payments
Order metadata can be retained for accounting and support. Image bytes are not stored in the SQL order table. Stripe processes payment details; DualPaws does not receive or store your full card number.
Your return link
Your browser keeps a temporary portrait reference to help you return from checkout. A return link identifies a portrait, so keep it private. Payment status is checked server-side before the watermark-free original is released.
