Photo Preparation Guide for AI Pet Portraits
Give your portrait a better starting point. A clear source photo matters more than a complicated setup.
Choose the right studio
For a pet and owner portrait, prepare two photos: one of the person and one of their pet. A pet face swap needs one portrait. Group pet faces needs one photo containing the whole group. Each studio has its own upload form.
File formats and size
Choose JPG/JPEG, PNG or WebP files up to 10 MB each. The browser resizes your selection before sending it for generation. HEIC/HEIF, RAW, PDF and video are not accepted by the upload form; export a JPG or PNG copy first. A file with a changed extension is not the same as an exported image.
Light, angle and framing
Use even light and keep the face visible. Avoid strong shadow, motion blur, sunglasses and heavy beauty filters. For together portraits, choose reasonably similar viewing angles for the person and pet. A close view of the pet’s face and markings is more informative than a distant full-body shot.
For group photos
Keep everyone’s face visible and reasonably large. Avoid overlapping heads and very wide crowd shots. The group studio applies the same animal choice to all faces; it cannot assign a different animal to each person. After generation, check every face in the preview.
Know what the AI may change
The editor is asked to retain the details relevant to your mode, but an AI result is not an exact reconstruction. Fur patterns, expressions, hands, clothing or background objects may change. Pay only after reviewing the preview. Choose a different source photo if the result does not work for you.
Photo permission
Upload images you own or have permission to edit, and obtain consent from recognizable people. Selected photos are sent to our server and OpenAI for generation; this is not an on-device photo editor. See the privacy guide before uploading sensitive pictures.
